BOLD – Believe, Overcome, Learn, and Dare

We live in a world where only the BOLD dominate and thrive. You cannot afford to embrace this kind of mentality into your life. BOLD is an acronym that stands for Believe, Overcome, Learn, and Dare. These four words embody the spirit of determination and resilience that is essential for success in all aspects of life. Each of these words represents a key element of a mindset that empowers individuals to reach their full potential. These keys are implanted in the word BOLD and can work anywhere whether in your career, business, family etc. A mindset is a collection of ideals or ideas about a thing, in this case about dominion or success in whatever you do in your life.

Believe in achieving anything great in your life. No one can live without this basic principle of life. You and I are equally using this key; maybe we are unconscious-competent. That is a situation where you use something but do not fully understand that it is a principle of life. From today know that the confidence or positivity that you have when you are about to embark on something you have never done before is called faith(belief)Without belief in oneself and one’s abilities, it is difficult to overcome obstacles and achieve success. As the famous quote by Henry Ford says, “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” Having faith in oneself and one’s abilities is the foundation of all great achievements. This is a God-given gift to every human being on earth. What is belief? It is the confidence that you are right with whatever you desire to do as long as it does not bring harm to yourself or others, even before you compare it to the truth of the word of God. There is knowing beyond doubt that this is the one. The Creator has embedded in each one of us a system of knowledge through faith. The beginning point is that you must have faith that God is using you to do things here on earth and that the desires you have are from him, as long as you have great pleasure in Him.

Overcoming challenges is the second element of the BOLD mindset. As the saying goes, “Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors.”   There is no success without this experience of challenges, and it is through this school of adversity that we learn the most about ourselves and our capabilities. We must be willing to face challenges head-on and overcome them in order to grow and reach our full potential. The secret to growing a thick bicep muscle is embracing the pain that comes with the lifting of weights during exercise in the gym. Anything you cannot face, you cannot overcome. It is the challenges that we face in life that test and build our potential until we are able to overcome the negative current blowing against us. I am reminded of the word from the bible which says that we cannot be tested beyond our capabilities, the Creator has loaded you and me with all that we need to handle anything that comes along our path.

Learning is the third element of the BOLD mindset. As the world is constantly changing and evolving, it is crucial to keep learning and expanding one’s knowledge and skill set. Albert Einstein once said, “Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death.” Going by the above statement, it, therefore, goes without saying that as long as you are still breathing, you have to keep learning. Learning has two legs. One is listening, and the other is questioning. I am reminded of the time Jesus went to learn from the Doctors of the law, he sat down to listen to them and also asking questions. Listening gets you into focusing and imbibing the knowledge been availed to you. The questioning gives birth to deep understanding of the subject matter, and it also demands more clarity. There is so much creativity now in every field of endeavor that you need to keep learning every day. The pursuit of knowledge and continuous learning is essential to success in any field. Learners easily become leaders because they are just one step ahead of others.

Daring is the final component of the BOLD mindset. To achieve greatness, one must be willing to take risks and step outside of one’s comfort zone. As Neil Armstrong famously said, “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” It took this daring man to step up and be the first man to set a foot on the surface of the moon, and now everyone is following the trail. It is through daring to do what has not been done before that we make progress and achieve great things. Most of the things we are enjoying are a result of the daring heart of a woman or man who chose to be different and not accept the status quo. I do not know what you are planning to do, after reading this. Go out and dare it.

The Bible also offers many verses that embody the spirit of the BOLD mindset. One such verse is Philippians 4:13, which says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This verse is the authority for you to have faith in yourself and to believe that you can overcome any obstacle with the help of God, who dwells in you.

In summary, the BOLD mindset emphasizes belief in oneself and God, overcoming challenges, continuous learning, and daring to take risks. With this mindset, you can achieve greatness and reach your full potential. As the famous quote by Walt Disney says, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” Society will not lack anything if we all dare to do something in life. Call to Action is what new thing are you going to attack using this BOLD mindset.
